About six months after we opened the doors, my partner decided to sell his half of the business to me, do to the lack of time he was able to dedicate to the business. By then, I was confident that I could do it alone, so we came to an agreement and I became the sole owner of Beeper Connections . Within the first two years I opened 2 more locations in Attleboro and West Bridgewater , Massachusetts . Business was great, but I wanted to be able to offer more communication services to my customers. I decided to bring in cellular phones and service provided by MCI World Com and Omni Point . Fortunately, selling phones and service was not too different from pagers so it was an easy transition.

Over the next 5 years, pager sales began to dwindle while cell phone sales were flourishing. All of my attention had to be focused on cellular phones and service because customers favored the new technology over the old. With the change from pagers to cellular phones, I felt a name change was in order, so East Coast Wireless Solutions was born.

After a few years, MCI World Com went out of business (because of the development of more and more competitors) and Omni Point was sold to Voice Stream Wireless . After that, Voice Stream was then sold to T-Mobile .

Although I was down to offering only one cell phone carrier to customers, I still wanted to expand the business because I knew that T-Mobile had exceptional services to be offered and would eventually become a greater success. I opened a forth location, closer to home in Fairhaven , Massachusetts in December of 2001. Still not satisfied, I opened my fifth and sixth locations, the fifth being in New Bedford and sixth in Fall River , Massachusetts in October of 2002.

After establishing 6 stores, I wanted to be able to provide my customers with more service choices. I decided to sell Nextel Communications phones and service. With the new direct connection technology provided by Nextel , I felt it was a turning point in the wireless industry and I wanted to be a part of it.

Because I had so much to attend to with six locations, eventually the stores that were the furthest from me were falling behind in sales. I realized that I might have too much on my plate, so I decided to close two of my locations in Attleboro and West Bridgewater . In January of 2004, I also handed over my interest in the Fall River location to a longtime friend and employee, whom I felt was ready to go on his own. I am now still owner, and operator, of three very successful locations and several sub dealers.

It's almost been ten years since the opening of the company and I am still growing. I have just purchased my first commercial building where I will open another location and also operate a repair center for Nextel customers. It has been an exciting ten years and I look forward to what will happen in the next ten.
